  The staff were excellent over my 2 day stay. The food was delicious and good value which isn't always the case for hotels. The rooms were very modern and very clean with walk in showers. The location is spot on for the town centre as its 10 minutes walk max and 5 minutes to the football stadium and train station. The fact that we could choose and buy films to watch was good.The breakfast choice was excellent and the fact that we could choose how much and what we wanted to eat.   We were impressed by our first view of this hotel. Much better than expected as was Lowestoft itself. Car park just over the road from the hotel entrance. Easily accessed lift just by reception and very few steps for disabled persons like myself. The strength of this hotel lies with the excellence of all members of staff we were in contact with. We also noted the efficiency and care given us by Kirsty, Charma - Brilliant Hotel, staff very polite, nothing was to much trouble, The Sunday Buffet was excellent and so was the breakfast the next morning, Room large & comfortable and warm, the bathroom was large and the shower was nice & hot and easy to work. the number of T.V. programs were excellent. the view from the enlarged bar/decking area was good, very very happy with our stay would recommend.

  We stayed in the Superior Room which was superb. The breakfast was the best we have ever had. The dining room was lovely. Good car parking. We will be going again! - Very relaxed atmosphere and very helpful staff; nothing was too much trouble, and the room was excellently appointed.

Found reviews read before going to the hotel did not, in our opinion, reflect the way we found it.   Attentive staff, made to feel welcome, responded positively to all requests, friendly atmosphere in restuarant, excellent food, very well prepared with local fine ingredients. Room exceptionally clean and well equipped, 4 poster room delightful. The Auberge is easy to find but its location as a stand alone facility adds to the sense of occassion. ... wat mensen zeggen » There is a quaint thatched roof pub (the four horseshoes) about a mile or so away, well worth the visit. Overall the Auberge restaurant and accommodat - We were welcomed and shown to our room immediately. It was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with large shower. We ate dinner there. The menu had a good number of mains choices. We chose the guinea fowl breast which we found rather overcooked. However the starter and home made bread made up for this. The house red was mellow and not expensive. The breakfast was generous and enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly.
