  The owners did everything to make my stay enjoyable, I needed an early breakfast, which was substantial, and it was not a problem. the atmosphere was homely and relaxing - Beautiful house and gardens, very peaceful and relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful, they made us feel like one of the family.

  Our stay here was really nice. It's clearly a place taken care of and run well. Our stay made me want to give "excellent" ratings for all categories but held back to "good" on just a couple for the sake of a clear review. Location: - Shawgate Farmhouse is rural. You would probably need a car to stay here. It wasn't difficult to find though. Close ... wat mensen zeggen » to Alton Towers and the Peak District. No obvious shops within walking distance. Comfort: No complaints at all. Only that "excellent" should be reserv - Nina and James make a great team and deliver exactly what Shawgate Farm promises - a relaxing night's sleep and an excellent breakfast. With a pub five minutes walk away, or further choice within 10 minutes in the car, you have all you need. Whilst the location is attractive to those visiting Alton Towers, we used Shawgate Farm as a base for cycling with the High Peak and Tissington Trails plus Carsington Water all within reasonable driving distance.
