  We had a room with an amazing see view. Apart from a few scuffs on walls and doors caused by careless guests the room was great. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us and went out of their way to accommodate our every need. The food was second to none and Nico should be commended for his attentiveness to people's needs and his professionalism... wat mensen zeggen » . Bar staff also need a mention for their efficiency and friendliness. What we call a real holiday! - Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and good restaurants, especially the Italian. If you eat in, you WILL put on weight! Comfortable side room with reasonable view. Very clean, despite the obvious age of the building, which adds to the "antique charm". Enjoyed my few days break and would happily return.

  We had a room which opened onto the garden, a lovely quiet position. We had a twin room, my duvet was too hot so it was changed for a sheet and blanket by the very nice cleaner. There were 2 armchairs, often only 1.   Great location - go right for the beach and harbour and left for the town. Just a few minutes easy walking in either direction. Bright , clean and welcoming b & b with friendly owners and great breakfast. Luxurious ensuite bathroom in one of the upstairs double bedrooms. Area and room nice and quiet in the evening and comfortable bed so slept ... wat mensen zeggen » well. No traffic noise and the owner provided a parking space so we didn't even use our car for 3 days , walked and caught the bus , train , boat - ma - We were made very welcome, and as the B&B has only 3 bedrooms it was almost like staying with good friends, and relatives who all get on well with each other. the breakfast was very good offering almost every combination of traditional english fare..the room was clean and well provided with drinks and biscuits and the beds were comfortable in addition the place was quiet therefore sleep was not a problem .we will stay again when in the area

  Staff were super. We felt genuinely welcomed and there were lots of little touches that contributed to this: extra biscuits for the room when we asked, a jug of fresh milk volunteered, and, most strikingly, the use of the lounge on our departure morning. Unlike many places, we did not feel at all rushed out, and in fact were encouraged to stay by... wat mensen zeggen » the provision of (complementary) pots of tea and coffee. We couldn't even pay for a can of soft drink that our nine year old daughter took. It felt - Wonderful building,probably Art Nouveau rather than Arts and Craft. Away from the noise of the modern world. Helpful proprietors and the waiter was a treasure - full of local knowledge and very efficient. One is transported back to pre-WW1 in this glorious building. Grounds are superb as well, so typical of this beautiful East Devon coast. Just look at the trees from your window. Views of Lyme Bay will stun you. Breakfasts well cooked and satisfied my Desperate Dan appetite. A great experience.

  Very clean, friendly place. We were given the choice of two rooms first floor and top floor. We chose the top floor as sea view was excellent(room 10). Room was clean and comfortable and the power shower was fabulous. Breakfast was nicely cooked and more tea and toast was offered. Help yourself to juices and cereals (all branded). A family room was clean and the view to the sea - what else could you wish! Even bedsheets were cotton and not that synthetic as in most hotels! Recommend to everyone!
