  It was a perfect place for a stopover between St. Andrews and Edinburgh, or a less expensive alternative to St. Andrews' hotels. The staff and accommodations were very good. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was tasty and enjoyable. We enjoyed a relaxing time in the pub adjacent to the hotel. Before settling in for the evening we ... wat mensen zeggen » walked down to the most picturesque fishing village and regretted not eating at the UK's best fish and chip shop. We were fortunate to have a parking - For the cost of the accommodation, this hotel is a bargain. We thought it was as nice a place as a 5 star. The staff was great, especially Josh. The food in the restaurant, we ate all 3 meals there and were satisfied with all. We can't say enough positive. In addition, the location was perfect to walk on the costal trail and travel to St. Andrews. There is no available parking, but we had no problem finding something on the street.

  Location was excellent- opposite the Marina & very close to the very good & informative Maritime Museum in Anstruther. The food at breakfast was wholesome tasty & served by a friendly staff member. I was staying on a B&B basis at the Waterfront. My room in the "Bakery" section of the hotel overlooked a delightful little courtyard... wat mensen zeggen » The room was spotless with a comfortable bed & ensuite. No problems there. However on two nights I had a noisy family staying above me & coul - The staff were excellent, particularly with my 93 yr old mother whom I take away as often as I can from her sheltered accommodation. Finding a place that suits her is not at all easy. The Waterfront was ideal, even although the stairs posed a bit of a challenge. The next time, I will ask for her to have a room on the ground floor if that is possible. The food was very good and more than plentiful. There would be little chance of malnutrition.
