  Het was een heel ruim apartement van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaar, zijn vrouw en de verdere staf waren zeer aardig, behulpzaam en waren continue bezig om het je naar de zin te maken. De situering van het apartement was perfect, overal dichtbij de bezienswaardigheden en toch in een wijk buiten de drukte met voldoende winkeltjes voor je boodsc... wat mensen zeggen » happen.   The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style. In summary, everything is excellent. - Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see. The hotel is in an historic building but it is fully renovated and the result is a mix of historic perspective and contemporary taste. Everyone is very nice and gentle . Perfect for couple
