  Everything was just perfect! Despite being located near the central station and in the middle of the city the hotel was very quiet. We have travelled to a lot of cities in Europe and have never stayed at a hotel as clean and nice as this! It was very cosy and the beds were very comfortable, which is a big plus.   I loved the whole idea of staying on a ship. The location was great as well, just a 5-10 minute walk to the Central Station area. The rate included breakfast which was good, I just wish it started a little earlier because we wanted to get out of the city to head home as early as possible. I would absolutely return if I visit Amsterdam again. Note if you're driving - we - The owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The location is great! Only a ten minute walk from Central Station. Lovely breakfast is complimentary, the common area is extremely comfortable and you can sit up on deck and gaze out at the cityscape! Highly recommend Hotelschip Gandalf!!!

Since it is a docked boat it is also very quiet. Don't forget it is a boat cabin what you will get.   We stayed in the basement Studio flat which was excellent and suited us. The location of Kalkmarkt is very good next to a canal and only a short walk to restaurants, the City Center and Central railway station. The owners Veronika and Peter are very helpful and friendly and good communication when we made booking and with any queries we had. Toiletries are provided except for sha - The location is great. It s just about 10mins walking distance to the Amsterdam Central station which you can go everywhere from this station. And the house is very home feel with a kitchen. City people likes me enjoy a lot in this kind of town house. Besides, couple can enjoy simple cooking if you have been tired to eat outside during a long vacation. The flat is simple and clean as well. Absolutely recommended!
