  This was our second time at the Windmills.The pool was pristine and a great asset on the hot days we had.. The accommodation in the windmill is unique and very tastefully done. There is everything you could need with many thoughtful touches such as candles for outside use. The location is perfect:not far from the beach, town or walks and yet very... wat mensen zeggen » peaceful and private. We were made very welcome with a meal on our arrival which we appreciated after travelling. The owners made us feel totally at - It was fantastic!! Exceeded all our expectations. Our hostess met us on arrival and showed us our beautiful "home". She provided a surprise Santorini lunch that was wonderful. When we go back, we stay there.It is a perfect location between Ia and Fira. Since it is not on the Caldara side, it is much quieter and less tourists. You can be in Ia in 15 minutes so it is no biggy. Close to a small beach that you can walk to. Wonderful, relaxing and fun- you stay in a windmill.

  Great hotel in a lovely location, we loved watching the sunset each night. We were treated brilliantly with little treats making all the difference: strawberries, chocolate and champagne being left complimentarily for us and the staff were brilliant, coming all the way down the stairs just to help us with things like our sun umbrella!   The location is breathtaking. It is much better to stay outside Fira, in the quieter surrounds of Imerovigli. The staff at the resort were perfectly attentive and polite. Any request was met efficiently. On arrival, we were treated to a special sweet wine as well as a bottle of local wine and a platter of fruit. It is a luxury hotel, so you can expect to - Although they had power cuts on the island of Santorini the week we stayed in August this was obviously not the hotels fault and the staff could not have been more helpful and the hotel is located in one of the most beautiful positions on the island I could not rate the experience higher and I would definitely recommend the Kapari to other guests. Also the food was excellent.

  Afroessa is a great place to stay in the lovely Imerovigli part of Santorini. Imerovigli is where you get the best views of the caldera and the view from Afroessa was just amazing. Each room has its own little outdoor seated area so you can sit there and eat breakfast overlooking the cladera. Also even though it was hot during the day the room was always cool as they are all built into the side of caves. We didn't even have - This has got to be the closest one gets to heaven while on earth. Santorini is magic, and Afroessa is drop dead gorgeous.Its location is perfect for day tripping, and a fabulous retreat to sip a wine and wait for the spectacular sunsets from your balcony. A five minute walk following gets to great restaurants, or if a little more adventurous, a 30 minute walk along the stunning cliff side track.
