While not close to the main Guilin tourist sites, you can reach most of them by a pleasant 30-40 minute walk or by a short taxi ride.

This is probably the best hotel in Guilin: good services, fresh air, green location inside a botanic garden, a perfect zen garden with a pool, lake and tea house - you will feel like an emperor!
Other aspects:
- good wifi;
- diverse breakfast;
- staff is ok with english;
- free pickup from airport and free ride from the hotel to the exit of the botanic garden;
note: that the hotel is not central but it's close to the bus and there is a mall just outside of the garden

When we left for the airport, we left our expensive camera behind somewhere in the reception room. From the airport, we rang up and a girl named Qing?confirmed finding a camera bag c/w telescopic lense. We called our tour guide to pick it up and sent to the airport. Thank you Sapphire Hotel staff. You are so honest.

The hotel is located at the walking street in the center of the city. It is a very busy street, with lots of clubs open late at night. But we got a room that was not facing the street, so it was still nice and quiet in the evening. It is walking distance to most attractions, and the staff was really helpful.

friendly and nice, hadn't even stayed there yet and let us store
luggage while we visited Longji rice terraces. Common room is varied and
