  The Pousada staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bright and very comfortable. The pousada was very quiet and very well located to walk to the centre of the island and the beaches in around 20 mins. Close by are restaurants and bars - plenty to choose from.   We loved the Pousada do Vale, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic (fish night is a real treat) and although the bed was uncomfortable the rooms were nicely decorated and very clean! Their gardens are beautiful but beware the mozzies! The staff was friendly, professional, flexible, and made sure we had activities we liked. The food was excellent (fresh juice from fruits in the garden) and everyone was kind.
