  We were smack bang in the middle of the city so location was excellent. Easy walking distance to most things we were interested in visiting. I found the staff friendly and polite. My daughter visited us on this trip and we arrived back quite late one night to the Hotel and the staff were extremely accomodating in allowing her to stay the night wit... wat mensen zeggen » h us, which didnt end up happening in the end. Based on this alone I would defintely stay here again. Value for money a definite. Alice's was lovely w - This hotel suited us exactly it had all we needed for a short 3 day stay in Melbourne. Close to shops theatre, art centre Fedration Square and public transport. Bed was comforable, room clean and fresh, bathroom was new with good shower and loads of hot water. The cost of a three night stay was incredably inexpensive for its central city position. Not a luxury hotel if you want spa baths etc. but most definitely a good quality hotel for travellers who want a bit more than backpacker budget hot

  All staff absolutely superb - friendly, helpful and attentive, reception staff and porters desk/concierge staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Room has excellent ammenities, was well designed for comfort and convenience and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location for theatres and shopping could not be better.The hotel has a welco... wat mensen zeggen » ming feel to it and feels "boutique". - Warm welcome from Susan at reception, glass of champagne at check-in desk and nice handwritten card with chocolates in our room that night from Susan wishing us a pleasant stay in Melbourne. Very personal touch from a large hotel.
