  Locatie is prima, aan de rand van de (winkel)stad, vlakbij Victoria Markets. Je loopt zo de stad in, echter buiten de drukte ervan. De gratis tram (circle line) stopt op de hoek van de straat. Ten minutes walking will get you into central Swanson Street. The friendly greeting from the receptionist when you enter the hotel sets the tone of the place. Registration is quick and easy and you get directed to your room. My room was facing the gardens and whilst not especially big had more than enough room for me. First impressions of the room were a well presented and spotlessl - The staff were superb. Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival. The room was quiet and clean and very comfortable (great bed). We

  I feel like I'm staying in a living museum when I'm at The Hotel Windsor. That's what I love most, as an anthropologist. I love the spaciousness of the rooms. I love the pillow menu - what a treat! I liked the fact that they had a system in place that allowed guests to use the same towels if they wanted to in order to save water which is great. What I would have also liked to see is a recycle bin in our room so we can put our aluminium, paper, cardboard, plastic and glass.

  Room was comfortable and clean. Booked a kingsize twin premium room but put in twin mediocre room. Complained to management and they changed room next day to superior kingsize but not twin beds. Worked out ok though. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and manager very helpful. Swimming pool heated and great position on roof. New shower excellent loved - The locations was handy for the three locations we had to visit. the Reception staff were efficient, and friendly. The room we were eventually given was clean, comfortable and quiet. It appears to have been recently renovated. The Hotel is located close to many attractions and restaurants. It appears that some rooms are better than others and that only some are as described in the Hotel's description. The buffet breakfast was pleasant and adequate but not sumptuous as described.

  Arriving on a delayed flight into Melbourne via Sydney from Hawaii, we expected all sorts of problems upon arriving very late at the Somerset. However, I must complement their staff, in particular Paul Dale, who were very helpful and understanding. I commend them for the service, the spotless room and the central location. Bob Langridge - i like there are lots of electric and home appliances, like microwave oven, washing machine, stove, etc. There are shops and supermarkets nearby thus cooking in the room is very convenient esp. my mother is a vegetarian. It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)

  The hotel suited our requirements perfectly. The location was good, the staff were exceptionally helpful. The beds were so comfortable. Even loved the fact that there was a bathtub which meant we could soak our weary feet and legs after a good day out and about. - Have stayed at Rydges 2009, 2011 and now 2013.
