We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

Although this motel is a fair way from the city, there are bus stops nearby so the heart of Hobart is only a mere ten minutes away! My room was clean, warm and the facilities were all there. Ground floor unit easily accessible. Only slept there, so only one issue

for lovely b & B's elsewhere. Certainly wouldn't want to

Edinburgh Gallery Bed & Breakfast is a typical bed and breakfast. It has all basic needs: bed, desk, chair, bathroom and breakfast. Breakfast was ordinary, so dad and I went outside for breaky. Very close to city. Even closer to Botanical Gardens. Very cheap. Parking at the motel with extra security door from outside. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave.
