This place is absolutely wonderful. The room (cottage style), was a bit small, but sparkling clean, comfortable and with windows in front and back which provided plenty of light. Too bad it was raining and we couldn't enjoy the little front patio. Breakfast was also great with a variety of cereals, juice, fruit, toast, pastries, yogurt, etc. I would stay in this place again and again.

My wife and I have stayed at the Samoset Resort a number of times and the staff has always been accommodating and extremely friendly. Meals in the restaurant are excellent and the ambiance (both in the restaurant and in the hotel) couldn't be better - summer or winter. -

I have to say, I am a very particular traveller. My husband and I research whereever we stay. The Island view (especially, the woman at the front desk) was so charming and inviting the moment you stepped inside. We stayed in room 112, which the front desk person suggested. This was the nicest place we had ever stayed at. We really hated to leave. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again

The location was convenient to nearby towns, such as Camden and Rockland. The property is very well maintained, with an abundance of flowers and nice landscaping, and a great view of a small ocean inlet. Nice pool setting too. Clean rooms. Overall a very nice place to stay. -

The outside appearance lead you to think that the rooms were small and outdated. The view was fantastic and the rooms were very comfortable. -
