This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? -

the friendly nature of the hosts, the wonderful information they provided both in a written and verbal manner about the area and the breakfast - wonderful - The guest house was central to where we wanted to be. The friendliness of the owners. First impressions and facilities were excellent.

The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. Staff very polite and helpful, could not fault anything.

Excellent. The Staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room light and airy. - Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and a lovely room with a fantastic view. No complaints!

The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very friendly staff that made us feel very welcome. Food in the restuarant was very nice, with a relaxed atmosphere. - I came to relax, and in our second choice room that was possible being able to see and hear the river, plus watch the wildlife

i only stayed one night but it could not have been better.the hotel setting is in such lovely surroundings. - Everything, it looked lovely on arrival, the staff were helpful, thepool etc were a bonus.

fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail.
after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay.
the room was clean & nicely decorated with everything we mite need,bathroom was clean & a good size.

- Owners of the guest house are excellent. Provided useful information of places to visit, eat and drink
- Free parking at the house
- Windemere town is a few minutes walk and the lake approx 15mins walk (or £3.50 taxi)
- Clean comfortable room
- Direct access to room from garden by the car park making it easy to bring in bags and not disturd anyone if getting in late
- Free WiFi
- Good breakfast
- Excellent value for money given the cost of hotels in the area. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when

Cheerful, helpful staff. High quality, comfortable room with attention to detail. As we are both vegetarian we were delighted to discover that the restaurant had a separate and varied vegetarian menu and were able to accommodate us as a late booking. Attractive gardens and excellent location to enable walking on the fells from the door. - Good loca

... cosa dice la gente » election of bars and restaurants. - I liked the hotel room with balcony looking over Ambleside. Also we took full advantage of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be visiting again very soon.

I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, wonderful choice and quality of breakfasts. The owner, told me he used to own a fish restaurant so that's obviously why the fish dishes are so perfect. Huge choice and excellent quality. Dining room is modern and there was a good atmosphere at breakfast time. Staff were efficient and friendly. Our budget room was clean and cofortable. Perfect for our stay. Limited parking on the premises but lots of free and unrestricted parkining across the road.
