friendly, comfortable atmosphere and pleasant staff. Big rooms, clean, well aired bedrooms.warm and friendly. Style of the hotel building both out and inside; the fairly large family room; staff's homeliness approach in serving.good quality food, reasonably priced, Helpful staff. cosy, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Easy Going - Friendly Atmosphere and service. breakfast and quiet. Nice friendly warm place and all staff were very polite and helpful. comfortable and warm on a very cold night. Relaxed. Garden and room. Quiet. Night manager seemed like a nice chap, Hungarian i believe. Only two things, but they would certainly not put me off going back, there was no detachable shower head and the floorboards were very squeaky and creaky. Bit tricky to find if you don't know Bristol. Some of the facilities need to improve - fitness room. There was a lot of traffic noise in our room, but the hotel staff dealt with this to our satisfaction by changing our room. Easy chairs not comfortable. bed was hard and we would also have liked the option of a twin room. We requested a quiet room but were at the front near a busy junction. Cost of breakfast. High if not having full english.no tv reception in the rooms - false advertising. Dated decor and allocated a twin room dispite clear information that we were married. Finally rectified after searching the hotel!. beds were uncomfortable. rooms were cold. The beds were as old as the hills and noisy. My room was very cold. I wasnt told that breakfast was free with theroom. When I asked about breakfast I was told it was a set price of £9per night ontop of the room price and it was £9 even if I only wantedtoast and coffee. I didnt eat in the Hotel the first morning as I feltit was far to expensive for just 2 items. I was told on my last day thatthe breakfast came with the room price. didn't look as good as in photos. Asked for a taxi, told not much chance, went to pub down road and they got one for me no problem? Decor a bit shabby - hair all over the walls in bathroom - strange!.
