Nothing was too much trouble. The enormous house and gardens with pool were very spacious and because they only let out 5 rooms or so, felt almost like having your own country house. The countryside around with quaint little villages remind one of a Tuscan idle. Throw in the extensive cycle paths (mostly for bikes only) through this lovely area and you have a recipe for a wonderful cycling holiday based as VM. - We enjoyed everything: the wonderful welcome of Silvia and her family, the very good breakfast (and how much embutido iberico!) with regional specialties and homemade cakes, the peace spreading through the morning song of birds...   From the minute you enter the hotel you already feel something is different. Then, when you get to your room you understand how different it is. The lobby includes the front desk with staff that was always willing to help and give useful advice. We loved the Carrot cake! The standard room is divided into two separate ar - There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.
