The location was great, lots of choices for dinning and shopping and centrally located so that made it easy to get out and about. the Waterfront was well sign posted for visitors unfamiliar with Cape Town so that was a huge plus when going out and then returning, we never got lost.... being on the harbour withthe excursions was a plus as well. We could not have been happier wioth our choice of hotel, and would stay there again should we visit.

The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

On arrival we were welcomed by friendly and efficient staff. Our "dorm" room was a welcome surprise, the bedding was crisp and clean, the bed was invitingly comfortable. A lot more than what we expected, there were enough plugs and adapters even. Breakfast was the cherrie on top. The kitchen staff were accommodating and although it was a continental breakfast, special effort was made and we had freshly prepared fruit salad and savoury muffins as an addition. Overall I would recommend it ANYTIMe

This is a brand new hotel - open for just 2 months. Its location is on the fringe of busy downtown Cape Town, and is thus safe and secure, and within easy walking distance from all the major attractions including the popular VandA waterfront, and it is minutes away from the Convention Center. It was very clean and the location was safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. More luxury than you might expect from a bed & breakfast (guest house). Really charming. We slept very good. (I would ask for a room which is not next to the breakfast area.) Overall we would come back!

This is my second time there now and stayed in a different apartment the second time around. The warm and homely feel to the apartment. I love the comfy cosyness. The view was beautiful and the calmmess of the whole setting was perfect for my partner and myself. The staff and security were always friendly and welcoming. Will definatly be back agai

Beautiful yet simple, trendy design, nice patio, great room, great cleaning staff and convenient location to convention center, or 7 minute walk to waterfront over a major/safe road. Concierge staff and security were friendly. Huge studio apartment, partial views of waterfront (beyond some Maersk shipping containers!).

Excellent location and value for money and safe underground parking space included. Very helpful staff. Very clean, comfortable and modern room with everything we requried for our 5 day stay. - We were only there one night, but great position and extremely well equipped room.
