  Amazing host. Lovely environment. Great value. The place is a little difficult to reach from Flåm without a car, but we just ended up having our Fjord Safari boat drop us in Aurland. Our cells weren't working, so they called the hotel and the owner came and picked us up. It was great.   This place was amazing. While simple in set up it had all we needed! The cabin was on the end and overlooked the water. We could watch the ferry boats come to shore from our window. It was so relaxing. The staff was fabulous, they lent us a hair dryer, and for a small fee we rented our sheets and towels. There were two small markets conveniet - I booked the Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri as an overnight break in our Norway in a Nutshell tour not really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be a charming little hotel with beautifully appointed common areas and an accommodating staff. Their complimentary breakfast was terrific, as was its location, a historic little house a few yards from the hotel. All considered, we thought it was a real bargain.   Staying at Bjørgo Gard was definitely a unique experience that we would recommend to others. The initial drive up the mountain can be a bit intimidating at first because it is a steep and narrow road, but it is very well kept (paved from top to bottom) and offers several vantage points for spectacular views. When we reached Bjørgo Gar - The location is beautiful along one of the most amazing norwegian road. The owner and her little daughter speak perfect english (as everyone there) and they are really nice. The appartment is little, but clean and with all essential services.
