Luc-sur-Mer, itself, has beautiful architecture, restaurants, shops and a municipal park...with a huge whale skeleton very nicely displayed behind the Mairie. There is a bus stop c. 200 metres from the hotel, with which you can travel West along the coast and into the city of Caen (with all of its historic and tourist attractions). The owners are very cheerful and hel - We loved the fact that we were right on the seafront without a road between us and the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. It was also great to cycle from there. Would definitely stay there again.

  Excellent location in heart of D-Day landing beaches and area. Apartment clean and very comfortable. Facilities are good. Reastaurants are nearby if you do not cook in. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent (the half-board option particularly good value for money) and the situation of the hotel on the promenade and metres from the beach is ideal. We have stayed several times and will continue to go there. - It was a very convenient location for visiting WWII sites.
