  The overall experience is a little unconventional as this is a residential unit that is being rented out. When we first arrive, we were sure if we were in the right place. A quick phone call confirmed that in fact we were in the right place. The unit owners showed up a few minutes later and helped us to our room. It comes fully equipp - Studio Austerlitz was a perfect choice for my weekend visit to Strasbourg. The studio itself is lovely and perfect for a solo traveler or couple -- very cozy and well maintained, even with charming art on the walls. The location was also ideal, literally minutes walking time to the Cathedral and other attractions. Finally, the proprietor, Benedicte, was absolutely lovely -- she insisted on picking me up at the train station, kept my bag on the last day after check-out and delivered it to me

  Well, the best aspect about this place was the two ladies who oversee the apartment. The wifi wasn't working when we arrived, so they immediately agreed to refund our money and allow us to stay there for free for the night. It's a cozy little apartment just across the river, a great location. The location was fantastic - about a minute from the cathedral. The owner gave us a discount and bought us cake and tea! And, there was a Nespresso machine with a generous offering of coffee pods.
