Modern building. Excellent receptionist - very helpful. Allocated a penthouse room on the top floor overlooking the car park. Lovely balcony. Small but clean room, with modern bathroom. Safe in wardrobe. Easy walking to beach, shops, tram and restaurants. Breakfast top class. -

This was our second stay at the Hotel Royal. We returned to it because we enjoyed our first stay so much. This is a little gem of a hotel that deserves more than the three stars it currently has; it is at least a three-plus if not a four star standard. Since our last stay they have made many improvements on what was already a very nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived the lady at reception was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet, even to the parking meter we were helped and offered for our luggage to be taken to the hotel. The booking in was quick and easy, within minutes we were in our room. The room was above what we expected, very clean, comfortable and just everything we wanted was available. We could not fault this hotel. The breakfast was superb and more than enough, again the young lady was so positive at all tim

The apartment was excellent and well equipped the landlord was so helpful and polite, the location was minutes from the beach, shops and tram network. -
Good standard of accommodation, very helpful staff (nothing was of any trouble) and well situated for our purpose (cycling in and around the region).
