  I can't say enough good things about the Alto and staff . The room was clean ,comfortable and had little extras that made you feel at home.I had a mini box of chocolates and a welcome note waiting in my room as well as my luggage that they had kept secure for me for a week I was traveling to Caines . The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival. That's what I love most, as an anthropologist. I love the spaciousness of the rooms. I love the pillow menu - what a treat! The harpist is a wonderful treat :) The staff are very professional and courteous without being insincere or obsequious - that's a rare skill and greatly appreciated. - Room service meal was soooooo tasty and everyone was lovely there. I liked the fact that they had a system in place that allowed guests to use the same towels if they wanted to in order to save water which is great. What I would have also liked to see is a recycle bin in our room so we can put our aluminium, paper, cardboard, plastic and glass.

Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

I'd book into this one again for a lot of reasons. I like people who don't make a big deal about things and just get on with it. The managers made our family very welcome and our stay was really great. I am looking forward to going back.

  Unfortunately the hot water system died the day we arrived, but management was wonderful during this very testing time. We were kept informed on progress of repairs and eventually taxied to another apartment. Staff also took time to offer sightseeing advice and hints to enhance our stay.
