First, I found that staying in Alameda as opposed to San Francisco, our destination, was not a bad idea at all. Parking is available and included. The room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was excellent; it included everything you would expect in a decent hotel. - Excellent buffet breakfast, helpfulness of staff

Front desk staff were very friendly and organized! Very helpful finding us transport to our concert venue. Shuttle driver to the airport was excellent. We are planning to come back in Feb. 2014! -

Well, it's to many to list,I liked the courtesy of the LADY WHO FIRST CHECKED ME IN,plus she was Gorgeous! every one all staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable which was a major Bonus.And the room itself, FANTASTIC,FABULOUS,GREAT, COMFORTABLE and by far this was the best Hotel I have ever stayed in and my first time there. From the moment I arrived I felt very welcome .I felt like everyone was there just for me. It was just like being at home only better!
The meal at level 2 was great ,the service was superb .I think my servers name was James ,he was nice and easy to talk to .he was from Oahu so we talked about the island.

I liked the oversized bathroom and the oversized tub. I liked that the toilet was separate and I liked the huge shower. The vanity mirror was a plus. The beds were very comfortable and the room was huge! We also had a beautiful view of the water with a little patio area to sit and watch the sunset. The free breakfast was ok. The coffee was awesome

If we would have judged the hotel from the exterior and the surroundings
we would have not chosen to stay here. This hotel is very clean, rooms
are spacious, layout is great, and they have a microwave, fridge, and
free wifi, free shuttle service, and free parking!

The staff was very hospitable and eager to help with suggestion, directions or any other request. Polite and responsive to each meeting we had with the staff. The rate was very good for the room as we stayed 4 days. Parking rate of $22 dollars seems high but the security of our rental out weighed the cost with peace of mind. I could actually s

It was easily accessible to other things to "see." We were there primarily to visit a young adult son who also had other things that needed to be done, but the location gave us things nearby to do in between times. But we were especially appreciative of the staff from the front desk to the Bistro to those who cleaned. They were friendly, helpful, interactive, and welcoming.

Excellent location in Jack London square. Very nice helpful staff. Good free parking on premises. Very close to ocean, lots of dining choices, bars, and revamped area of Oakland. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Had a iron and a hair dryer available to borrow.

Good location when having a car - right off the freeway. Easy access to all destinations in the Bay Area.
Right on waterfront on edge of city, lovely. Rooms on waterfront are quiet.
Basic but clean accommodation.

The building itself is old and shows some wear, but it is clear the owners take pride in their facility. The paint, furnishings, and carpet were clean and all looked like brand new. The bed was quite comfortable and the location was great. Several good resturants within easy walking distance. Great balcony with patio furnishings. -

Liked my room with the private balcony on the second floor overlooking
the pool area.
ALSO LIKED THAT THE BUTTERCUP RESTAURANT WAS OPEN FOR BREAKFAST. THE RESTAURANT AT THE NEARBY JACK LONDON INN DOESN'T OPEN UNTIL 10:00 AM.
