We stayed in one of the cottages which are of a very high standard. Decoration is attactive and there are some lovely touches; comfortable and stylish.
Staff were helpful, responsive and kindly - without being intrusive. We were travelling with my elderly mother and aunt and the team at La Place made everything very easy for us.

Fantastic stay at Hotel La Place, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We were picked up from the airport and upon arrival out bags and check in were taken care of while we enjoyed complimentary champagne in the bar! We were even lucky enough to have a free room upgrade to the newly refurbished Deluxe room which was beautiful.

What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!!
We could go on - best thing to do is to go and try this hidden gem in the Chan

Excellent facilities, great service and good food. A good selection of places to eat and drink and nice outdoor seating areas as well as a pool. Very much a luxury hotel which we could not fault, except for the location which was our choice.

Quite simply the nicest hotel we've stayed at. Friendly staff, stunning views (from bedroom/balcony, restaurant and gardens/terrace) and nice comfortable rooms. It's most definitely a hotel you can relax in and you feel very much like a "house guest" rather than just a paying customer. Would stay there again tomorrow! -

The hotel is in a truly stunning setting, looking out over a wooded gully, to the sea. Service was good, as was the food at both restaurants - it's well worth a trip to the Rock Garden for a few cocktails, too! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in Guernsey. Potential bookers should note that this is NOT in St Peter Port town but a rural location in the parish.

1) Receptionist we dealt with was fantastic from the moment we
arrived until the time we left. Nearly all of the staff we
encountered were lovely.
2) Mark Jordans food was exceptional both in terms of quality and (relative) value for money (we had the £65 3 course)
3) Location and views provided by hotel. Whilst it is a bit out of the way, it was lovely none the less

Le spa! - The lovely room and friendliness of all the staff. I would especially like to mention Dani in reception and Thierry, the restaurant assistant manager, who were exceptional people. Please thank them both - Clean, modern, happy friendly staff,excellent choice of facilities.
