The staff was very helpful and friendly. Charlie speaks perfect English, which is also helpful.
The hotel was off of the main road but very quietly recessed. It's far enough from the very touristy area to feel authentic (and is cheaper) but you will need a 25 minute walk or 50 baht for a tuk tuk.

Charlie and Jeab are perfect hosts! We felt really welcome, they helped us with anything. Room is big and clean. Great shower. Good wifi. Location is also very good. Far from the noise but still close enough to the beach. Dvd's at reception is also a big plus. Thank you for everything! We recommend everybody to stay at Baan Taveesri.

Ismail is a great host. The Bungalow is very close to the beach and some great local restaurants. It's also quiet at night. The bungalow itself is pretty basic - bed, TV, wardrobe, A/C, and fan. The weather was nice enough that a simple fan at night was enough to keep me comfortable. Internet is available (I was able to Skype with family), but it doesn't reach the bungalow I stayed in. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Very vice and helpful staff, very clean. Everything perfectly organized. Even had a balcony to sit outside in the evening watching the street life. You have beach related things to take free with you, and also books to read till you stay there. They can organize your travel to Krabi with the bus. Would stay there again! -

I picked the least expensive guest house with A/C nearest the beach. Good size standard room with side view could see some mountains but did not select mountain view. The reported hard bed was ok for me. Good value buffet nearerthe beach 150 BHT vegitarian or 250 BHT on veg

A perfect place to stay. Bernard and Vasana are treating his guests wonderful. The rooms are clean, spacious and because of their placement they feels cold even in the hotest days.
We could also buy nice tours and even feri tickets from Vasana directly and for 30% cheaper than anywere in town. A 650bath feri ticket(town price) costed 350bath at Vasana. For its price vategory, it is simply the perfect place to stay in Ao Nang. The rooms are large and very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful (a family atomosphere). The beach is just a 2-3 minutes walk away along the only road in Ao Nang, which is absolutely no problem. Along the road there are plenty of shops and restaurants to buy some drinks and food or shop for clothes. Highly recommendable!
