The atmosphere was really calm and friendly, informal yet absolutely non-intruding, creating instant "at-home" feeling. I had a single room with an openable window facing a narrow old town street and one of the walls revealing historic building bricks. Cozy and simple. I would definitely wish to stay in this hostel again when visiting Stockholm next time! Free simple breakfast for a limited time in the morning. There were two kitchens available at all times to prepare any food you might have with you, also refrigerators. Tea and coffee were free (unfortunately milk for the coffee was available only during the breakfast).
The room temperature was fairly ok (I was there in the middle of December, there was about -5 C outside), but I'm not sure if the heaters would give a sufficient warmth if it was really very cold outside. The Wi-Fi could be stronger - it was practically non-usable in my room, but it was ok in the dining/computer/public rooms, so I sat there whenever I needed to access the internet through the phone.

I liked very much how the place had all the basic amenities that a traveler would need to have a reasonable vacation. All the essential kitchen ware to prepare meals on our own, wireless internet everywhere, clean beds, very friendly staff always out to help, awesome location, safe and secure, heated rooms, a window that opened bla bla bla. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
I can honestly say that there was nothing i didnt not like! The single room was small but seriously what can you expect!! Its a hostel with a roof over your head and all in all clean. If you want bigger stay at the Ritz! Perfect for the spontaneous traveler.

The staff were friendly, spoke perfect English and offered many helpful tips about seeing the city. The layout of the building is a little like a labyrinth, but I liked it. No frills, but great value.

I really liked the location of the hostel. Another big advantage is that they include breakfast in the fee. I also enjoyed meeting nice young people staying there, too.
It was very cold in the room, esp with the weather getting very cold outside there was no heating/ or heater in the room.
As it was an Hostel, me nd my friend thought to find a poor place. Actually the location is great, the toilets were quite clean, even if on our floor there were just 2 bathrooms to share with a loooot of ppl. It is great that the WIFI is free and there are also few computer to use.
Even if breakfast is included, we had it always out as it is really poor and no tasty. there's a door with a code to get to the 3rd-4th-5th floor....but the code was useless as the door was not locked once closed.

Room I stayed in had lots of room. Bathrooms all clean. Plenty of sitting rooms so you could sit and read. Kitchens basic but very roomy. All staff I met were very approachable and very helpful. Free breakfast basic, but good value. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to any friends as it was so close to Gamla stan and the T-Barna.

Right along the water, beautiful location. You get bed linens and pillow all included in the price. Very spacious and comfortable in the 28 person dorm. It has 3 divider walls so you really feel as if you are in a 9 person dorm more or less. Good stay.
A little bit kind of old and creaky. The other visitors weren't so friendly there. Most hostels I've been to there's a nice vibe where people are generally talkative with each other, however not the case here, and I'm really not sure why. I stayed at interhostel in Stockholm too and people were much more friendly there.
The man at the front desk was very helpful. The location and view was excellent. The kitchen was very nice and big. I would recommend staying here. Great value for the money.
The wifi doesn't work in the rooms, which I have found to be common in most of the hostels I've stayed at.
Staff very friendly, incredible location and pretty nice nice atmosphere. My 2nd time here and next time in Stockholm on a a somewhat tight budget, no no doubt I'm staying here again.

I think it is one of the best hostel in stockholm. For 215 SEK you get comfortable bed, you dont get charged for bed linnen. There is also a free breakfast in the morning. Also there is full kitchen (you cancook your food), refrigerator and free tea and coffee.
I didnt like the stairs because I was traveling with heavy luggage. Thank god that there was an elevator (reception at 2nd level). The showers were a bit too crowded (shower + WC together) but clean. In one WC there was no toilet paper once.

This hostel was incredibly priced for the perfect location - and enabled me to spend more on other things during my time in Stockholm - including nice meals out etc. The coffee machine that's on at breakfast dispenses some strong stuff that gets you wide awake for a long, exciting day in the city. The beds in the dorm are comfortable enough, and nothing to really complain about when it came to bathroom facilities. It helped that there were plenty of them around! Great value for money!
The doors slammed really, REALLY loud, and were very creaky too (especially room 404 I think). Obviously people in dorms were coming in at different times and I would feel really bad waking up my fellow travelers due to the door! Other than that, I can't really say much else!

The room was extremely small and the double bed was very narrow. The breakfast was more than basic. All in all one must remember that it's a hostel ideal for young people and not a high-class hotel.
Fantastic location! Next door to Royal Palace, plus Gamla Stan is sightseeing object itself, so you can easily kill a day or half-a-day just wandering there. It is a budget accommodation of course, but it perfectly satisfies your basic needs - rooms are clean and comfortable, showers are decent, well equipped kitchens and nice light breakfast. Poor wi-fi signal in the rooms, but you can use computers in reception. Guests of all types make a really fun mixture, hostel is busy but not too noisy. Very approachable and helpful staff, sorted out bus routes and disposable raincoats for us on a very rainy day, which was a massive bonus!
Wouldn't recommend for a long stay, people generally aim for more comfort and privacy in that case, but for a short city break it is definitely a great choice.

Hard to find way around the building...very confusing. Not enough variety in breakfast. Breakfast room WAY too small to accomodate the # of people staying there. Nowhere to sit. Had to wash own dishes with sponge. Question if plates I'm using were adequately cleaned.
Excellent location in Old Town, clean and comfortable room, free Internet in the hall, nice breakfast, friendly and helpfull staff (special thanks to Shigo!), very clean everywhere! Great combination of comfort and reasonable price. It's my second stay here, enjoyed it again! :-) Would recommend this hostel to every traveller visiting Stockholm!

Breakfast was very poor
The stuff was cool, always friendly, always present and addressable, very engaged and helpful. The bathrooms were well maintained (important as they are technically not at the cutting edge). The whole house is kind of a maze, fascinating. Internet was available all over the house in many corners.
Well it is an old house. The bathrooms could be better designed. Specially the ventilation was a bit weak at the rooms without windows. I am not speaking about maintenance but about design!

Location - it was perfectly located in the old town on the waterfront and close walking distance to everything Beds were comfortable.
Price - For a family hostel it was really expensive. Broken bathrooms - hand basins off the wall and shower holder broken. Photos on bookings.com were not how we saw the accommodation.

I liked the staff and the clean bed every night. The shower was good also.
The reason why I will probably not book again is the snoring people. 2 of the 3 nights I have hardly been able to sleep. A dorm bed room hostel really is not a fun place to be when you find out how many people actually have huge snoring problems.
