  Though bit pricy its really an amazing spot and hotel. Awesome building, great spacious rooms, good staff. Gourmet restaurant was closed during our stay but the bistro was excellent too. Beautiful terrace to watch the sunset, have to visit the winery too and go for a walk/ cycle around the vineyards. My husband is a retired architect and staying here was a remembering of himself, enlivening. We only wish we had known how wonderful the experience would be and we would have stayed longer.

  We loved our stay at Valdelana. We stayed a week and wished we could stay longer. When we booked we didn't realize that Elciego I in the heart of the Rioja wine region. In addition to our room there is a communal lounge with complete kitchen, Nespresso, couches, dining table, plenty of dishes, cutlery, etc. We met several members of the Valdelana ... ce que les gens disent » family and just found them to be really special. The staff were just as helpful and charming. We would definitely stay again. We loved the little vill - Easy access from the main road, excellent location at the entrance of a very cosy old country village/town, especially in a sunny day. The room was small but comfortable with a very nice bed. The main lounge was very big and shared between all the travellers and it had anything you want from a modern kitchen.   We wanted to visit la Rioja , experience a wine tour and take in some scenery. Elciego and case rural la corchea were an ideal way of experiencing this. The hotel is lovely, with lots of quirky and original features of the old building. There is a home from home feel and personal touches to the rooms and from the information and advice provided by... ce que les gens disent » the hotel owners. They kindly booked a wine tour for us and provided useful tips on where to visit in the local area. Elciego is a lovely traditional - The staff was very personal and attentive, ready to answer and help us out at any time. The hotel has a very laid-back atmosphere, it is super clean and nicely designed.

We requested a handicapped room for my dad once we arrived and the staff kindly accepted our last-minute request. The hotel can arrange custom tours of the surrounding Rioja wineries, but they have to be arranged in advance. In any case, we got excellent recommendations for us to drive to. - First, we were greeted with the most warm welcome. The front desk staff are very helpful and eager to please. The room was large but the bathroom was on the small side. The room they allocated us had two twin beds that was a little too soft for our liking. They moved us to a room with a King bed that was really nice and comfy. Location is good for exploring the wine region.
