  We were received by Gene with a wonderful smile, vastly compensating the tiring flight from Europe. She made our week-long stay a memorable experience. The breakfast was great. "Our house" had two bedrooms, one living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, etc, just for the two of us.   Gwen & Johan were incredibly helpful, and offered lots of recommendations both for restaurants and (most importantly for us) wine tours! Indeed, we hadn't even checked in and had made the online reservation a couple of hours earlier and they were helping us book a wine tour! Minibar was reasonably priced and lots of choice. Breakfast made to order. Location very good if one wants to explore Stellenbosch by foot. Very passionate hosts who love to receive guests from all over the world.

  It offered very good value for money and since we we going to a wedding and only going to be arriving late and night and leaving early the next morning, we did not need all the bells and whistles.   The room we had was quite basic and a bit older, but had everything we needed and was comfortable, with fresh towels and linens, and a nice view into the town. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful, with Florence (the girl checking us in) showing us around the property, showing us the parking and giving us some information and tips about the ar... ce que les gens disent » ea and even offering us a nice drink while we checked-in. Also the owner, Arno, was very friendly and helped us with some plans and offered great tips - Excellent location; smack in the middle of the town center. The owner (arno Zacharias who looks like a rock star) & his staff were all accommodating & professional. They helped me plan small trips in & around stunning Stellenbosch. Ah, everybody should not miss the wine route! Room was kept immaculate. Breakfast was adequate. Arno was kind enough to offer me a lift back to the train station for capetown. Thanks! I will definitely stay here again. I really liked the welcoming spirit.
