they don't know where each Riad is and we have to find it by foot

The Riad was absolutely amazing. The decoration is exquisite and very morrocan. All the tiles are amazing. Our room was lovely with decoration and a huge double bed. The dressing gowns for using the shared bathroom were also a great thought. The staff were all really helpful, but the manager in particular went out of his way to give us recommendations. He helped us organise our guide Mostafa which was perfect for us as two women. We definitely wouldn't have found as good a guide without Idris's

This was the perfect place to stay in our time in chefchaouen. The Riad offers all the peace and tranquility we wanted once we had had our fill of being busy around the city. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the whole place has such a personal feeling about it, making it a very special memory for us.

We were near the front door and asked to be moved to a quieter location. No problem and upgraded us immediately to a suite and moved all of our baggage.

The location, inside the Medina, is very good. The owner manager was an extremely nice man, very welcoming and accommodating. We trekked in the nearby RIF mountains and he walked us through the Medina to the foothills of the mountains to show us where to start our hike from. The terrace has great views over Chefchaouene.

The location was fantastic.
The terrace top roof was magic. The furnishings and rooms were lovely and we were so well looked after.
Tangier is a great place to visit especially if you want to experience something completely different. Fabienne was so welcoming and a fantastic host and we also had the pleasure of meeting her mother. We were made to feel like the house was our own, nothing was too much trouble and we were given great tips about where to eat and places to go.

My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower.

The staff were always extremely helpful with any questions I had. Most spoke French, Arabic, Spanish and English which makes it easy for international travelers.
The breakfast in the morning is a bit pricey but it's a great way to start your day if you're not in a rush. The patio where you eat is really nice in the mornings if the weather is good.
There's a rooftop terrace with seats where you can read or relax in the sun.

Muhammed Ali is by far the friendliest and most helpful person we've met running a guesthouse. He gave us a free pick up and drop off, organized our bus tickets, surprised us with homemade yogurt on our first night, etc.etc.etc. He truly cares about great service and seems to be a genuinely good guy.
My tip for Muhammad would be to replace the pic

Casa del Rio and Chefchaouen was a peaceful respite in the midst of a
rather harried trip. The Moroccan government should hire the owner to
represent the country internationally - he was one of the most
thoughtful, considerate people I have ever met traveling, and was by
far the highlight of our Moroccan experience. The home is simple,
beautiful - the photos on the website don't do it justice. The pick

This is a beautiful little "dar" on the north side of Chefchaoen. We stayed in a triple and found it very affordable. Very easy walk up to the mosque, which we highly recommend.
Traditional Moroccan decor, gorgeous little fountain in the living room. We stayed in the summer time and found it to be not too hot at all -- can't attest to winter.

Very good location. The property is well restored and tastefully decorated, with a beautiful fireplace in the communal area that was fired up each night of our stay.
