The Prince perhaps shows its age but in such an elegant way. Our rooms were large, elegant and very comfortable. We were being budget conscious at the time we stayed and so didn't eat at the restaurant as we heard it was on the expensive side. the hotel is clean and comfortable and the onsen is fabulous! there are one bath inside and one outside, sauna and places to wash yourself.
position on the lake is spectacular but a bit isolated and restaurants in the hotel are expensive.
they have a free shuttle service from Odawara station.

it was clean and tidy place. breakfast it is ok, onsen inside of hotel is relaxing after a tiring day you can have relax there/if you know how to get there it is ok but if you dont it can be difficult.in hakone you can take a hakona day pass which you can use on buses cablecars and ropeway it is very convient /to go to hotel : TAKE A HAKONE TOZAN

The basic facilities provided are enough for budget travellers, like the hot water provided in every floor, nice pastries for breakfast including tea, coffee and juice. Share bathroom is very clean. The shutter bus provided is a plus as well. It is not easy to get dinner nearby so we took the advice from the other travellers, we got the bento or ate our dinner before we go back to the pension.

Hot bath Onsen, after the check-in made they display your name on a bord they hang at the front of the hotel(make you feel like you are a star). The japanese breakfast is really authentic and delicious, and the staff working there are really really kind and friendly. -

fairly close. You can use the onsen which is open almost 24/7. In
the morning, we were served a fairly elaborate Japanese-style breakfast. -
I like the service of the hotel crew, they are very friendly and good service. Although most of the crew do not speak much English but they'll try to help.

Very nice Onsen.
Large rooms.
Great view of the forest, so nicely located, and just next to a bus stop so easy to get around during day time (with Hakone 2 day Pass), not far from Hakone Open Air Museum (worth a visit). -

1, Hot Spring
I did not expect Hot spring at all but they had hot spring in the hotel. Water was so good and I had great time at hot spring. Definitely I can recommend this place.
2. Good location
Even though I had to walk a little bit from bus stop to hotel(around 10min on foot) but if I ride on the bus I could access Hakone area.

The atmosphere in the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and reasonable. I love the public bath and massage chair in the room. The staff did not speak much English but we were able to communicate.
