I am travelling with my 3 teenagers and was hoping for them to have a unique experience when I choose to stay on Miyajima. It was perfect. The hotel was a short walk from the ferry and no trouble to find. The room was a quad share and we were greeted with a tour of our room followed by green tea and cake. The teenagers were in awe. The room was lovely with an immaculate private bathroom. We overlooked the shopping arcade which was exciting during the day watching everything going on and q

Rather far from Hiroshima's city center but perfectly located for

reasonably priced and provides a fair standard for the average

Nice location in the only village of the island. Very busy during the day with full ferry every 20 mns but it was during the ''golden week'' ! In the evening, very quiet even a little bit too much and only 2 restaurants were open ! The authenticity of the accommodation. When you stay in a Ryokan, it
still has the hotel feel about this. This gave us a glimpse of how real
Japanese family live their daily life. The owner was very helpful and
very informative. We had fun chatting with her about obi, temples and
food. Definitely recommend staying there. She even recommended places
where we can experience authentic Japanese sake bar in Miyajima.

Great ryokan experience. The rooms are impollute, very friendly staff (particularly a woman who is in charge of arranging the rooms and the dinner). Views from the room to the Torii and the bay were outstanding. The dinner was delicious with lots of different Japanese dishes. The private onsen is wonderful. -

Miyajima is beautiful - Mizuhasou is a comfortable 10-15min walk from the ferry terminal, staff attentive and friendly. A fantastic "authentic Japanese" experience, toilet in rooms, individual hot baths, food was amazing.
Miyajima is a daytime place - not much going on at night. We just stayed

Mizuhasou is a good modern rendition of the Ryokan. Food was beautiful and interesting in taste and presentation. Family bathroom was great with two big "cauldrons". Most important of all, the staff were lovely. On arriving late, we were taken around the corner to the late Okonomiyaki resturant. Communication was fine with careful use of english.

My second stay at Miyajima Island, but what a good deal this time as I paid half the price, in comparison to other stays on the island, while having a even better experience! The owner started his business only 3 weeks ago, at time we stayed there, and this guest house is a real gem to be discovered by other travellers. The view from the room is magnificent, and the owner so friendly. A little bit hard to find at first, so be prepared. Highly recommended. :)

Authentic ryokan experience. Onsen was lovely with choice of onsen inside or outside overlooking beautiful outdoors. Dinner served in our room was memorable with beautiful array of Japanese food. We enjoyed walking around the island also

Kikunoya has to be the best hotel we stayed at. The staff could not do
enough for us. We were picked up from the ferry although too late for an
evening meal they took us down to a restaurant and picked us up again
after our meal. We had ordered breakfast and again created a non
