There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which have bus going to the hakodate ropeway at a sceduled timing. The front desk staff - a lady was very helpful and flexible. My friend and I were early (by abt an hr) and she gave us a room even though check in is 3pm onwards. We asked her abt the hakodate ropeway and the tropical botanical gardens where we could see the monkeys in the hotspring. she took out a bus guide and listed down the timings for us. she also indicated in the map that was available in eng. Altogether, my 2 days and 2 nights trip in hakodate proceeded much smoothly due to her help which I really appreciate.

So easy to find straight out of the station and a 5 minute walk up the road. We speak Japanese so not sure about the English on Front Desk but very polite. Rooms are simple and clean. Easy walk to Hakodate Street Car (Tram) to go to Hakodate Rope Way. Good Value for money.

The first thing we like is this hotel is very easy to find. Just walk about 2 minutes from JR Station to get there and from there it takes just a minute to the Morning Market. The room is quite old but very neat and tidy. They have a big flat screen TV, green tea, hair dryer, Yukata and Obi set for changing clothes. The staff is very nice although we get here a bit late (8pm). Morerover, they can speak english quite well. I recommend it if you want some place which is good and has reasonable price!
Bathroom is very tiny but it's okay.And it doesn't have a heater in the room, just an air-condition with japanese language.

Easy to get train and food market is opposite the hotel. The reception is kind and good service.
The location is very close to JR Hakodate station and opposite to morning market. Price for three people room is as low as hostel but location is better. Staff are nice to let us drop baggage before check in. Restaurants are around. Room is clean and comfy. There is a fridge in room. We are happy to stay there.
Wifi is working in the lobby only but it's fast. Towels are too small, cannot cover the whole body. Room is a bit too small. When we unpack bags it's very difficult to walk to toilet.
Good location as it is near train station and morning market. We stayed in a quad room as we have 2 children. Room was quite big with good space for luggages but I think that applies only to our quad room as the other rooms that I peeked into looked small (like other hotels we stayed in). Our room also appear recently renovated as the curtains, towels and wallpaper look fresh and new. Overall, good value for money and would recommend for families.
Small, flat and hard pillows which were uncomfortable because of the beans inside. We prefer bigger and firm, foam pillows. Although our room was refurbished and comfortable, the rest of the hotel (exterior, hallways and reception) look tired and worn out.
Location! Location! Location! Very close to the Hakodate Tran Station! And right next to the Hakodate Morning Market! Very convinient to access public transportations to Hakodate Mountain and the star shaped castle. The room is very nice and the staffs are very friendly! It was a nice stay with Ohte hotel.

I don't understand why I can't leave my luggage for 3 or 4 hours.I Talk with female staff on febuary 4 th in that morning this month,she said you can not leave your belonging.And then I take my luggage walk to the morning market and a few places in Hakodate.That's very crazy, I stay here for one night with two of friends.And in the afternoon we catch the train to Sapporo.
