This was a great hotel. Very modern with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The room we had was very clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless, and a good size with great shower room and good size balcony with table and 2 chairs. The bed was very comfortable. Architecturally and as measured by position views etc. this is a gem.
In the case of the experience at the hotel we were not let down. Staff
were excellent, always helpful and friendly. Facilities were great;
wonderful outdoor pool with towels provided and poolside service .
Excellent breakfasts individually made if required. A lovely walk along
the waterfront took you to the old town in about 40 minutes or taxi
from the hotel for 56 Kunar (£8 €7). Connections from the airport

The location is perfect for visiting the Old Town of Split by foot and
even more. And what a joy to live inside the walls of Diocletian's
Palace: good facilities, very calm (in February), beautiful view on the
city square. We enjoyed the very big old terrace just 2 metters under
the clock tower of Split, a real privilege for the morning coffee.

My cousins and I could not have been happier with the accommodations and especially the location. I have been to Split many times and have in the past always stayed in hotels. This was my first experience with an "apartment" type of accommodation. I loved loved loved the patio for late evening relaxation and people watching. Everything was like new and very clean. Both Antonia and Robi were wonderful and were very helpful in making our stay one to remember. -
The apartment was a very nice size for 4 adults and magnificently located just outside the western wall of the palace at the Iron Gate. The terrace was amazing and spacious with a nice view of the square and a beautiful Romanesque house tower with Gothic belfry and Renaissance 24 hour clock adjoining the terrace. No bells ringing thankfully. Very charming and full of history. A great location to explore the palace and return to wonderful accommodations.

Room design. Cleanliness. Freedom. Location. Delicious breakfast. All that people are writing about the swimming pool is unfairly diminishing hotel's rating. The hotel is very quite and the view from the rooms is fantastic.The location about few minutes from downtown reachable through beautiful promenade a. neighbor to the park, marines and beaches are the high points of the hotel. The people are friendly and helpful. The breakfast with good options.

The location is fantastic: 5 minutes walk to Diocletian's Palace, but tucked around the back of a building and thus absolutely quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Suites, which is ideally situated near the old town. The highlight was the outstanding attitude of the staff, who provided us with excellent advice and support. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria, Tony, Tina and Lana. The room was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed excellent breakfasts. We would certainly stay at the hotel again.

We stayed in One Bedroom Apartment Senjska street. The owners were friendly and pro-active. It had a great location - slightly up Marjan Hill and a short walk to the Riva front. There are some lovely restaurants on the same street (Konobo Marjan, Tinel) as well as a little supermarket. The air-conditioning was good (and much needed!). Powerful shower. Lots of wardrobe space. All in all it surpassed expectations considering the relatively modest price. Recommended :)

What a great little find! The rooms had everything you could ask for - kitchen, TV, outside area, air con and even a washing machine! The apartment was small but really had everything you need and was very homeley.

The owner and his family are very nice. The apartment was nicely furnished (stereo, DVD player, DVD's, knick-knacks from around the world). The owner left 2 beers, a bottle of orange juice, and a bottle of water in the refigerator and informed me that they were for me- I thought this was a nice touch. I had problems finding the apartment, and the owner came to meet me. The location is good- about a 7-10 minute walk to the old city section (Diocletian's Palace) of Split.

I am very pleased with the location and I intend to come back. The apartment is located near the center, in a quiet neighborhood. Spacious, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, balcony and terrace. It also has its own private entrance, so it seems like you're at home.

The venue is so close to all the buzz of the waterfront, beach, restaurants & bars.
An old building that has been fixed up & so modern inside. Small but perfect for a couple without kids.
Narrow alley ways & old streets, parking can be tight, park your car, forget about it & walk from home to wherever you are going to sight see.

Très bien placé dans le centre ville de Split. Un peu dur à trouver, il faut avoir une carte. Nous avions le studio qui a tout ce qui est nécessaire à un séjour et qui est propre. Le prix n'est pas très cher, il faut en profiter. -
4-5 mn à pied depuis le centre, 20 mn à pied depuis le port de ferry. La femme qui nous accueille est super sympa. E

Greet location. Right next to the station. Go onto the platforms and you'll see the apartments over the other side of the station. You can walk across the platforms to gain access. The apparents look very new. The one we stayed in (no 9) was a twin bedded. But truthfully was only big enough for a single. It was very small. Bathroom well appointed

We booked an airport transfer and Simoni picked us up from the airport.
He was very nice and gave us some suggestions for eating and sightseeing
in Split. Rooms are clean. We told Simoni we were on our honeymoon and
he gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a bigger room than we
originally had. We left to Hvar for the night and we left our luggage
which was locked in a room near the reception.

The room was beautiful! We had unfortunately stayed in a slightly disappointing place before so this place was almost a haven in comparison. You couldn't be in a better place for location - and the bed might be the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Also the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.

The best feature of Villa Kate is its location - minutes of walk from Diocletian's Palace, the markets, supermarkets and the Riva Promenade. It's well placed to join day tours and return to cool down in the air-conditioned sitting room before heading out to enjoy an evening stroll. We also liked the kitchenette and the power shower. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I am glad I asked them to book a taxi to meet us at the airport as we would never have found the place by ourselves! Over
