The room was fantastic and the people were very friendly. The dinner and service at the restaurant was well above what was expected, absolutely beautiful. The spa on the roof was checked and turned on every morning and they even check and clean the BBQ for you. We will definitely be going back. -

All the staff were fantastic, from the concierge and receptionist to the bar and restaurant staff. They were friendly, approachable, helpful & enthusiastic.
The resort was very clean and pretty with lovely gardens and ponds throughout.
The pool was the perfect temperature. Plenty of sun loungers and day beds. Swim up pool bar was a bonus.

Food at the café/bar was good and great value for money. We
requested a room away from the noise and was given one by the management
which was good. Good cooking facilities and utensils as we did eat in
for breakfast which suited us otherwise we would have to eat out 3-meal
a day. Front desk staff was helpful.

the staff were great especially Emma at reception. the spa was amazing, very serene and relaxing and my massage was bliss. location is great, a street away from shops and cafes. loved the torch flames throughout the resort. -

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were in paradise. A beautiful walk through the gardens, especially at night when the fire lights up the board walk. The pool, bar and restaurant facilities really are five star. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. -

Apartment was beautifully furnished and spacious. Amazing location only 100 metres to the beach and about 300 metres to main street. Staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again -

loved the design of the villas,and the bright colours. Loved the intimacy of it being a small resort for couples. Loved all the complimentary extras that made it special. Loved the herb pots. The privacy, the secluded area per unit. The gardens were amazing. All the little extras were included like robes, candles, mozzie coils and so forth ... more than you would expect from a budget resort. Such a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. This accommodation was the best thing about Port Douglas.

Beautiful two bedroom apartment with large living area, and good kitchen and laundry. Soft beds big bathtubs. 4km from the city centre which made it quiet. Staff were great. Free DVD movies including some for the kids. Cheap esky hire for a picnic. Safe for the kids. Two pools, one fully heated and one partially heated. BBQ area. Golf course next

Lovely tropical retreat atmosphere with bird song being the only "noise". Very welcoming and helpful friendly reception staff. Lovely pool in natural rock setting. Only slight drawback is the 6 minute ride into Port Douglas centre but this is more than offset by the tranquility and lush surrounbings of the resort.

Central Plaza Port Douglas was an excellent find. Close enough to walk a
couple of blocks to downtown. They have extremely well kept rooms and
grounds. Pool was a decent size and a great place to relax sounded by
Palm Trees. There is covered gas bbq Grill located by the pool with
stocked mini-fridge

hours it was easy to call and get access to my room within two minutes.

Central Plaza Port Douglas was beautifully hosted and well-appointed.
Fiona was incredible: friendly, problem-solving, generous, and full of
information. With regard to the facility itself, we loved the spacious
apartment, which had everything we could have wanted--from pasta fork to
teapot, and from drying rack to conditioning shampoo. The common areas
(shaded lounge, barbeque, pool, outdoor dining area) were a huge plus,
and made the apartment seem even larger!

Villas were beautifully presented, spacious and comfortable. Love the plunge pool and the views. Very comfortable and relaxing and will most definitely be back. The main pool was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. -

Great for relaxation via the various lagoons, very safe for children and provision for children entertainment, staff were efficent and friendly, room layout was great and roomy with excellent views. -

We cam with our family - big kids & grandkids - I had booked it almost a year ago off the Internet - I just hoped it was what we wanted & it was. The apartments were great - lovely to have the washing machine & driers - & the balconies. Loved the breakfasts by the pool - & the pool itself was fabulous. Thank you so much Port

We liked the layout of the Sands Resort and that every apartment looked out over the central garden and swimming pool area - a very pleasant atmosphere. The property was not a massive resort and was well secure. The management were very friendly and accommodating.A pleasant walk into the shopping precinct with a shuttle bus at reasonable cost at end of day.

We found Nimrod Resort a place to go for a quiet relaxing and peaceful holiday, with the advantage to being close to beaches, restaurants shops etc if you choose. Perfect location. -

Great shower mind you getting in and out of the shower over the bath bit was a bit of a mission :)
