There was nothing not to like about this accommodation. The room and ensuite was adequate for my needs. Perfect for a short term stay, and budget wise it was great.
The location and the cheap pricing! I always chose the manor as my first option when I stay in fortitude valley. It's a great homey feeling but the bed we had those nights were slightly uncomfortable but definitely worth the stay! :)
Woke up to a layer of water covering the floor on the right hand side of the room apparently coming from next door.
The Brisbane Manor was quiet, clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. I had 2 nights there and I couldnt fault them, if youre not a fan of comunial bathrooms and toilets then you probably wont like it, but to me that was not a drama and definately value for money...
The rooms definately need fans, air con I can do without but need a fan to circulate the air...

Despite our mentioning it when booking, the bed still skates around the room. The receptionist did her best. But it's no use pretending this is something new. The TV remote was missing, but the receptionist managed to find one for us. But these are tiresome at the end of a long journey.

Loved the closeness to Royal Bris hospital. I walked in 12 mins, including standing at traffic lights; taxi from $6, $9, $11.20! I loved the size of the room; I loved the size of the fridge and freezer; I loved the history on the walls; facilities were good; I loved the price.
The walls and connecting doors are thin. Clients are mix of backpackers and hospital visitors. Youngsters could be very noisy, but management quietened them always at 10 pm. Bed was skating on the tiled floor until we used the bath mat under the wheel.

Nice staff, room was ready for me with very short notice on my behalf! There was a nice casual atmosphere and a friendly, content, resident cat always gives a good impression to an animal lover like myself. Keep up the good work! :)
The history of the building & the memorabilia. The main kitchen is a great idea. Individual balconies.
My single room was basic but clean and had everything I needed, plus a TV, fridge and even a little balcony. It was quiet and comfortable. I slept well and felt safe there.
Only that the bed was on rolls and moved about a bit.... but that was something I could cope with.
I have stayed there a number of times now and I think it is the best value for money around brisbane. I hope they keep to the same cost if possible.
Not enough parking spaces however you cannot have everything.

The shared bathroom and toilet, I would have preferred a room with toilet and shower in the unit.
Had a over night hospital visit for me and the staff arranged the taxi for me early the nxt day. Allowed a late checkout for my partner as she had to wait for the hospital to discharge me. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Our room was over the kitchen and the extractor van was loud and vibating
I had a single suite with ensuite bathroom and little patio. Whilst tiny, it was comfortable and scrupulously clean. The single bed and pillow were comfortable. Location is good in terms of accessing Brisbane's CBD. Whilst I wouldn't want to stay for an extended period, for CBD accommodation for a night or two it is more than acceptable and very good value.
Onsite parking was very limited but this is understandable given its location.
Lovely old Queenslander, done up, clean, really enjoyed our stay, would stay again no problems.
Good value for the money.. In room wifi, incl in price.. Fridge was also helpful and the distance to city, certainly within walking distance.
Hey, it's not the Hilton, but it was surprisingly quiet...

Sharing a bathroom. shower cubicles small. (I was willing to pick this option because of price, so this is not a complaint). Other guests partying outside our room. We could have picked up the courtesy phone to complain but we chose not to. We asked them to be quiet ourselves several times instead then slept through it
Pretty much everything.. It's a great old building with lots of character.. Loved the outdoor deck and the place was clean and tidy and great location. Wld stay there again!

Excellent location with a lovely view of the old museum and easy access to the facilities of fortitude valley. The covered terrace is a lovely place to have a drink or a meal. Lots of wood and quirky old things in the public parts with a well-equipped kitchen. It was nice to have coffee, tea, milk and water in the room.

Misleading to feature the historic brick mansion across the road in internet advertising - we thought that was where we would be staying!

Beds should have mattress protectors $10 or $20 deposit for a cutlery set plate bowl cutlery and should be alloy so they don't get broken
Closeness to city, China Town, Showground and RBWH & Childrens Hospitals - walking distances. Communal Dining & cooking facilities, lounge & television area at front - a great area to relax with a drink, and they are licenced as well. Rooms comfortable & clean with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
Haven't found anything yet that we didn't like and we have stayed at least twice a year for a number of years now, coming down from Hervey Bay for medical treatment nearby as well as the yearly caravan show.

Good value. Hard to find any private rooms that price in Brisbane. The little balconies are a nice feature. TVs in private rooms are good. Staff friendly and helpful. Room serviced. Ceiling fan.
Walls are pretty thin. You can hear most things from rooms either side. A couple of little cockroaches spotted in the upstairs bathroom. Didn't bother me too much but they were there.

Terrible, terrible customer service! I rang up to ensure i would get a carpark at the hotel and the receptionist guaranteed i would get one, once i arrive at the hotel to check in she says "sorry the carpark is full." which made me to go park in a secure carparking a few blocks away for $30 a night. I was not very happy at all. very disappointed.

Very noisy at night near the kitchen area. There were people hanging out chatting in there most of the night and the walls are so thin that it kept us all awake (I had a single room, but was travelling with 4 others).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our first 2 nights we stayed at the loft which was very nice and spacious. Good value for money!
The hotel was very noisy at night time, we kept waking up because people were yelling and screaming 3 o clock and ongoing during early morning. The room had no AC, and this was a double room with no bathroom. Not even a fan and it gets really hot during the day and night time. The kitchen closes at 9 pm which is no good due to my work, I finish at 10 pm. This hotel felt more like a backpacker than a hotel. The Wifi only worked our first 3 days of our stay. (Stayed for 7 days)

I booked a standard single room and didn't realise that there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room and unfortunately for me no kettle available in the kitchen so unable to have a coffee druing my stay! First impressions it felt like a half way house rather than a hotel.
Cheap, clean, simple accommodation. We will definately return for any brisbane trips in future. Perfect balance for price comfort and location.
