Very convenient to the Houston Int'l fest which is why I always try to stay there. Everyone is very friendly and the price is right.

No restaurants or other places of interest nearby - so if you want to go out in the evening - need to take a taxi to go

The Doubletree was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were immaculate, the bed was extremely comfortable and of course we were greeted with warm cookies! The Front Reception staff went to extra efforts to ensure our stay was a good one and assisted us with finding restaurants, activities and shopping.
Close to downtown houston, perfect for seeing areas in and around Dallas, Louisiana & Texas streets.
The duvet on our bed had a foul smell, we used an alternative blanket supplied in the room and advised the housekeeping staff when we checked out.
