  The Chestnut Hill Hotel provides what Philadelphia does best, tasteful luxury without glitz or pretension. Given the prices of Philadelphia hotels downtown and on City Avenue, the price here is quite reasonable. Parking in back is free and easy to maneuver. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fine restaurant with an outdoor patio on the front and side, while the st - We were given an amazing room in the carriage house. We booked the last room available and weren't expecting anything special. However, the room was unreal! It was filled with the original pulley system from the carriage house with exposed wood beams, pine doors, skylight, stand alone bathtub, heated towel racks and so much more. The architecture was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the entire experience was phenomenal. I'm not sure what this room was named but it was really exceptional.
