  Attentive staff, made to feel welcome, responded positively to all requests, friendly atmosphere in restuarant, excellent food, very well prepared with local fine ingredients. Room exceptionally clean and well equipped, 4 poster room delightful. The Auberge is easy to find but its location as a stand alone facility adds to the sense of occassion. ... mitä ihmiset sanovat » There is a quaint thatched roof pub (the four horseshoes) about a mile or so away, well worth the visit. Overall the Auberge restaurant and accommodat - We were welcomed and shown to our room immediately. It was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with large shower. We ate dinner there. The menu had a good number of mains choices. We chose the guinea fowl breast which we found rather overcooked. However the starter and home made bread made up for this. The house red was mellow and not expensive. The breakfast was generous and enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly.

  Our two rooms were adjacent in a modern purpose built group in a quiet location away from the busy A140 - which we could not hear at night. All the usual facilities were provided in the rooms and were to a good standard. Individual heating controls in the bedroom and bathroom effectively allowed comfort and warmth on a cold spring day. This is clearly a popular venue as - The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pub is worth the visit good food and typical British ambiance (at least for a fench couple !) . Wifi woks fine and beds are confortable. Although being along a main road the rooms are in the back and it is very silent
