Meadfoot Guesthouse (adults only) is just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Windermere. It offers large rooms with garden views, free parking and traditional breakfasts. Rooms at the Meadfoot have free WiFi, TV’s and central heating. They also include baths, showers and tea/coffee making facilities. The dining room has patio doors leading onto a balcony with spectacular garden views. Sometimes deer can be seen roaming around the property's grounds. There is also secure bicycle storage with a pressure washer to clean your bicycle after a days' riding. Windermere Train Station is a 5-minute drive from the guest house. The town centre has a good selection of shops, restaurants and cafes.

fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail. after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay. the room was clean & nicely decorated with everything we mite need,bathroom was clean & a good size. breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from & full English filled us right through to evening mean. after breakfast Steve & Gail showed us maps of different walks a.

Provided useful information of places to visit, eat and drink - Free parking at the house - Windemere town is a few minutes walk and the lake approx 15mins walk (or £3.50 taxi) - Clean comfortable room - Direct access to room from garden by the car park making it easy to bring in bags and not disturd anyone if getting in late - Free WiFi - Good breakfast - Excellent value for money given the cost of hotels in the area. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when . We had a relaxing, peaceful stay in this lovely B & B. The room was clean, comfortable, well presented and we were made very welcome. On arrival the sun was shining and we spent a pleasant few hours reading in the garden. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in on holiday. Breakfast was superb and the dining room looking out over the garden made it feel relaxing and homely. This was most definitely the best B & B we have stayed in and we will definitely be going back. Really friendly welcome from Gail upon arrival.Showed us to our room and ran through the facilities.Room was clean,comfortable and had all that we needed. We met Steve at breakfast the next morning.He was also friendly & efficient.Gail cooked us a delicious breakfast.Good quality food and decent selection.We felt like nothing was too much trouble. The guest house is in a great location within easy walking distance of the village. The couple that own the guest house were fantastic, and could not have been any more accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and even gave us a lift to a nearby hotel, where we guests at a wedding. The room (no. 2) was perfect for an overnight stay, although other more spacious rooms are available if staying for longer. The breakfast was lovely, and again the service was excellent. Would definitely stay there again. Warm friendly welcome and Steve and Gail could not do enough for us they were adorable . The bed was sooo comfortable and the breakfast was top notch ...loved Steves homemade marmalade ...they even gave me a pot to take home . After a long day we sat in the beautiful garden relaxing ...such a lovely setting. We will definately return if we visit the Lakes again and we definately recommend Meadfoot to all . Gail and Steve gave us a friendly welcome and showed us round their beautiful guest house. Everywhere was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The location is 5 minutes walk from Windermere village with its local shops and restaurants bus/railway station and about a mile from Bowness. Over all perfectly situated for a visit to the South Lakes. The guest house was nice and clean the owners were very friendly they could not do enough to help you . The breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden. We liked the idea you were able to have a cigarette in the car park. The room had a comfortable 4 poster bed with nice decor. The hotel wes situated close to the village and lake. Meadfoot Guesthouse is run by a very friendly couple who go out of their way to make their guests feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. My room was very clean and tastefully furnished. The bacon, sausages and fried eggs served at breakfast tasted delicious, especially after I had sprinkled liberal amounts of my fave Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce over them!. Very very nice landlady (Mrs Gail) and landlord (Mr Steve).....Mrs Gail was so very nice and humble.....the couple made our stay so much comfortable.....the place was like home away from home......We will give five stars to this place and would highly recommend this place to stay.....the more you stay....the more you would like to stay.....5 cheers to this place..... Fantastic hosts. Very helpful and friendly. We had our own garden private entrance which was great because we could leave our bedroom door open and come and go as we pleased. Great healthy tasting cooked breakfast and very good location, a couple of minutes walk fromshops and restaurants. Fully recomended !. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and well-designed. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the heated towel rack. The hosts, Gale and husband, were very hospitable and friendly. Truly authentic English breakfast was served! Will definitely recommend this guesthouse to family and friends. Great location, very close to Windermere and short pleasant walks to the lake. Excellent hosts, who provided good food and couldn't do enough to help us, offered advice on where to go etc. The facility to use a leisure complex in the locally was an excellent benefit and well used by myself. Steve & Gail were very welcoming & helpful, to the extent that when we turned up looking like drowned rats after a rather longer than planned walk we were greeted with a glass of wine & can of beer to lift our spirits! They are also very knowledgeable in regards restaurants. The owners Gail and Steve were excellent hosts. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also excellent with the dining room overlooking the garden. The guesthouse was next to the shops and not far from the Lake. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Plenty of variety and proprietors happy to provide earlier breakfast. Proprietors very welcoming and amenable, particularly as I was suffering a bad back. Provided me with hot water bottle and ibuprofen cream. A walm welcome by Gail the owner as soon as we arrived and the rooms were clean and had a beautiful view of the garden. The bed was very comfy and didn't want to get out in the morning but got forced by the smell of a beautiful breakfast. Would recommend to anyone!!. Staff (Lovey couple) Great friendly and very welcoming .. Happy to help with anything we wanted. Beds very comfy and breakfast was nice. Exceptionally clean and heated floor in bathroom a massive plus - Highly recommend and we would definitely go again. Faultless room was fantastic Gail and her hubby couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast set you up for the day. The location is fabulous short walks to Windermere and bowness. All in all a fantastic place to stay. We will going back again. we had a one night stop over with gail/steve on easter sunday into easter monday. their accomadation is very clean and it was more like being in your own bedroom! whole b&b was very nice and both gail/steve were the perfect hosts. The guest house was brilliant ,clean and peaceful location within a minute walk of the shops/bars of Windermere. The owners were so friendly ,kind and considerate .Would loved to have spent more time there ,definitely will go back. steve & gail were really nice people & we found them to be very helpful with ideas about where to go & what to see, but without being overpowering. the hotel was spotless ,& food was great. perfect place to stay. Gail - hostess was amazing, very friendly and offered a lot of information. The location was ideal in that Windermere town centre was a 2min walk and Bowness-in-Windermere is a short stroll down the hill to the Lake. The owners Steve and Gail were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was first class and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would stay there again if ever we were in the area. It was easy to find, perfect location for Windermere and Bowness. We were made very to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Advice was also given about where to visit in the area. Great food. Everything, the room was lovely, with a patio door to the garden. Really comfy bed, spotless as well. The best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. Very warm, friendly and helpful owners. They are very hospitable and have vast collection of helpful printed material and maps that can enhance the holiday experience. Absolutely nothing. The only thing my husband could mention was the bed wasn't long enough for him being 6ft 2!. We loved everything. We could not fault this establishment and will recommend it to friends and family. The bathroom was too small. Everything was just perfect...... Nil. I feel quite expensive for a guest house. A longer breakfast window, 8.30 to 9 was a little restrictive for my liking. There was nothing we didn't like. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare but managed to park on the road. going home :-(. nothing, would recomend to any one. You couldn't fault anything - more like 4* hotel. could not fault anything. The bathroom in the 4-poster bedroom is small - you can put your feet in the shower whilst on the toilet. We can't fault it... That I couldn't stay longer :(. Small tv screen. Shower/bathroom could be bigger but it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Mattress was a bit on the hard side and Parking was ample but tight to manoeuvre into. Price could be lower and cancellation policy a little liberal.. Having to go back home!!!!!. Having to go home!. nothing to say. The location is a bit hard to find as the sign is spotless. The dawn chorus - easily eradicated by keeping window closed. Nothing. N/A. The weather was too sunny and hot (joking !!). Nothing.
