The welcome was very warm, which I appreciated after a long trip. I didn't have a cooked breakfast, but the cold spread was really enticing. I especially liked the fruit and nut 'sprinkles' for topping bowls of cereal. The bowls of fruit and pastries positively The hotel has a fantastic location and is a really good balance between comfort and price. I'll be back!. very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful with lots of options and first class service. Location perfect for town centre and the entertainment at the Spa. Lovely comfortable lounge perfect for reading papers before setting of for long walks and trips.

The hotel was very clean and had friendly staff, it had a very large clean lounge to relax in and the breakfast was brilliant with choices off the menu if you liked cooked breakfast or lots of cereals fruit, dried fruit and nuts and yoghurt. Excellent stay, great breakfast. Stylish interior design in the home comfort lounge and the dinning areas. Everywhere clean and spotless. Very friendly and helpful and they also accommodated my early breakfast requirement. The staff were friendly, which surprised me as many reviews I had read beforehand stated that this was untrue. The rooms were very clean. I liked the location aswell, as it was 2 minutes from the seafront. All hotel staff were very friendly. Excellent breakfast with a very good selection. Great room with reasonable view and good tea making facilities. The lounge was a pleasure and comfortable to relax in. The room was clean and comfortable warm and airy.plenty of room for storage despite not being huge.The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee was wonderful I kept having 3 or 4 cups!. the riviera is welcoming, very clean, we found it to be comfortable, all the staff are pleased to help and pleasent, excellent breakfast. we will certainly be staying there again. overall it was good, clean, breakfast was excellent, staff were polite and helpful, the pillows were lovely. Parking was abit of a hassle Although room was spotless and comfy, expected bedroom to be slightly bigger, decor in bedroom looked like it could do with abit of a touch up. Scarborough. The heating was almost constantly on and it got a bit warm. The floorboards were creaky. We didnt get a breakfast with out stay but I think that was just a one off. There was no free parking so we had to pay £10 per night to park. Our room had no view just the backs of other hotels. We know its not your fault but the seagulls are a nuisance, there are far too many of them. not disliked but corridors to bedrooms cramped and dated wallpaper not in keeping with rest of this lovely hotel. It was a very hot week-end and unfortunately the room did not have any air conditioning or even a Cooling fan. Slightly gruff welcome and looking after from gentleman on the desk, and the fact that the best ways to park weren't better publicised,. nothing. Nothing. Not having a small water glass in my room to brush my teeth with. Nothing. Pillows were too soft - needed a selection perhaps Room a little small but functional Needed hanging facilities in the bathroom Room chilly in the afternoon Creaky floorboards. Because it was hot the rooms were very warm so had to open the window,but doing that you get woken up early from the noise of the seagulls.Its not very good for parking we had to park in the multi story car park down the road.Also the man on reception was not very pleasant. Door to our room squeaked very loudly - just needs some WD40. Would have been nice to have been able to get a drink,other than the tea and coffee in the rooms,and to relax in the lounge and be able to order food during the day even if it was just a sandwich. Our room was extremely small,so felt a little cramped, however very clean and the facilities were very good, but it wouldn't put me off from staying again.The parking was a bit of a problem if you can't manage to stay outside the hotel there is a multi storey nearby that has 24hr parking facility. cold bathroom lift a bit dodgy. Night life/clubs are very close and can be a bit loud. nothing. Rooms tend to be hot in summer, only one window could be opened. Lift could do with an overhaul, someone left gate open so I had 4 flights of stairs at midnight to negotiate !. Nothing except the stairs - lots of them!. for our weekend there wasnt anything to complain about. Creaking staircase. found room 11 to warm no air or ventilation at times could do with fan during hot days. nothing. Steep stairs. Lift only worked once. Parking could be difficult, room a little on small side, although to be fair it was a standard room. Noisy outside in the square where there was a cocktails bar which was very popular until the early hours , so lots of shouting and screaming later on. Parking very difficult. Nothing. Nothing to not like!. decor very dated in bedroom larger double room was cramped no shelf for toiletries in bathroom room 17 had burn mark in sink upholstery needed a clean in lounge. Car parking was a bit of a problem - a deal with nearby council car park would help. Whilst bedroom was light and airy bath was small and bathroom a little old fashioned. Lift hard to use, note bedroom on 3rd floor.
