  All our stay was perfect. The bedroom was just like the one in the pictures. Very clean and comfy. Great double bed. Perfect with tea/coffee/chocolate facilities in the room. Double glass window. Dark and thick curtain to get the room dark at night. The road workers arrived around 7.30 in the morning but we were already preparing us for breakfast (monday to frida - The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner.   thought it was well worth the money and would definately use again - clean, nice friendly lady (only saw this one member of staff) but she was v helpful. room very clean and bed was comfortably but its a bit dated.   The people at Martins Guesthouse were very friendly and the breakfast was perfect. I had the small room with a tiny ensuite bathroom on the top floor, but I knew that beforehand and I do not need much space - so it was perfectly ok for me.   Irene and Bill were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful guides to a first time visitor to Edinburgh. The house was a beautiful older style house that was very well maintained. It was cosy and warm. There was an excellent choice for breakfast and although I didn't choose a cooked breakfast I could see other that guests did and it looked de... mitä ihmiset sanovat » licious. The tea/coffee making equipment was for a single guest but Irene happily provided extra for my son - a student in Edinburgh who left me back - The hotel is easy to drive to and parking was no problem.
