  Located in a lovely valley with beautiful gardens. The catering options were second to none - breakfast exceptional; dinner and bar snacks excelent value. Could not fault the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable and well appointed. We would definately not stay anywhere else on Guernsey, the whole ambience of the hotel was so relaxin - The hotel is in a truly stunning setting, looking out over a wooded gully, to the sea. Service was good, as was the food at both restaurants - it's well worth a trip to the Rock Garden for a few cocktails, too! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in Guernsey. Potential bookers should note that this is NOT in St Peter Port town but a rural location in the parish.

  Right from the start, I was made to feel warmly welcomed and I was picked up from the airport on arrival which was a welcome change for a solo traveller. La Roche is a beautiful house and the room I stayed in was luxurious, clean and comfortable. I shared a bathroom and toilet with the room next door but this was not a problem and worked very we... mitä ihmiset sanovat » ll. The owners, Jane and David were exquisite hosts. They were really helpful about what to see and the best way of getting there. Breakfasts were - David and Jane were probably the friendliest and nicest B&B owners I've ever met. Had a nice long chat, they offered a glass of wine and they were very interesting people. The room was also very nice and clean. They really helped make my stay in Guernsey memorable and enjoyable.

  What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!! A good selection of places to eat and drink and nice outdoor seating areas as well as a pool. Very much a luxury hotel which we could not fault, except for the location which was our choice.
