friendly and efficient, pleasant stay - although the hotel is a big old place the rooms were extremely clean the beds very comfortable, we didnt get a chance to eat breakfast as we awere leaving on the 6.15 ferry but was offered continental breakfast instead. excellent value for money and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again

Excellent accommodation to a high standard and very clean. The staff are all friendly and more than welcome to help to make your stay enjoyable. The bar has an excellent choice and friendly atmosphere. In a beautiful location overlooking the bay and close to the centre of Oban we had a great visit. The owner recommended two excellent restaurants nearby where we had lovely seafood (and reserved them for us). We loved our stay in Oban and Raniven Guest House was a great place from which to explore it. Stuart and Moyra were lovely hosts, very welcoming and helpful, and the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The buffet breakfast included not only a full continental breakfast, but several hot plates as well, and was easily comparable to the "Full Scottish" breakfast served at other B&Bs.
