The staff were nice people. I liked their honesty. The room was great for the price, as was the shower (very powerful and hot). Service was fine in general. Although some people had wrong drinks brought to their table and food from the kitchen was slow for some. It was dog friendly and the staff were really accommodating. I would stay again but would eat and drink elsewhere. Beautiful setting right on the harbor on the Isle of Skye. Room looked out onto the harbor, stunning view. The room was furnished nicely and the bed was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was reasonably priced and was very good. All of the staff were extremely courteous and helpful.

We had a great room that looked out onto the harbor. It was very big and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the waitstaff was excellent. Fantastic view over Portree harbour. Off premises parking, however, in all fairness the 'public' parking was not that far a walk. Had to go home. Although it has nothing to do with the hotel, we didn't like that most of the shops close really early. After spending a day out adventuring, you get back, stroll through the town only to find almost all the shops are closed. They missed out on Americans looking to spend money!. Could not get served in the restaurant on the evening so had to go elsewhere. Staff shortages was the issue according to the hotel. Hotel is looking very tired and really needs a refit. Noise from radiator till 12pm Tv on wrong format. Hot water plumbing a bit dodgy No lift. Whilst trying to go to the toilet whilst drunk in the middle of the night, I walked head first into the partition door in the room. Please take these doors off as they are a hazard to drunks. No lift. Weather but that can not be helped but the stay was enjoyable. The high price to pay for view. Rooms were dated. Public area decor dated. Dining room felt like a cafeteria. tired looking facility; reception was not friendly; front desk told us that only place to eat was hotel dining room when we enquired about restaurants in the area. Light of the isle was cut. Food. Poor choice. Does not cater well for vegetarians. Dated decor, needs upgrade. parking. price budget atmosphere. Staff generally not up to standard when it comes to making you feel at "home". We had problems with room quality reception staff and booking system. In the breakfast room the waitresses was friendly but the feeling when you entered was that the "door man" beleived you tried to enter without paying. price for the facility, way over valued. everything else overpriced. This hotel is in a time warp looks like it has not been touched since the sixties and is very expensive.
