The food was genuine with the exception of the orange juice for breakfast which was obviously out of a carton. Freshly squeezed orange (or grapefruit) would have been in keeping the the rest of breakfast and the other meals.The overall ambiance was excellent and the guys on the reception desk were well above the average and the hotel offered to prepare any meal if there was nothing on the menu to suit and offered Gluten free food. Great grounds and the river bank walk idyllic.

It was great for a stop-over. It's right on the A35 which makes it easy to find and well placed for venturing nearby and the coast. Room was spacious and comfortable and nicely located to the side of the pub. Staff were friendly. Food was good. I'd stay again.
