  We had a few (tightly budgeted) days to spend in Manchester/Liverpool and so Tramways Hotel and Bolton in general were an ideal choice — almost half the price of hotels in the bigger cities and a very good transport link to both of them. - The staff were so friendly and helpful, and couldn't have done more to ensure I had a comfortable stay.
