Posada Restaurante Carlos III is a cozy family hotel and a meeting place for locals. The typical Spanish atmosphere, excellent cuisine and moreover the cordiality of the staff have given me a very nice stay. The decor of the entire hotel is very tastefully and in an excellent state of repair. There is ample parking at or near the hotel.

Alvaro on reception was very helpful and made us welcome. He provided information about the hotel and even gave us a contact number should we require anything during the night. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and all we were looking for on an overnight stop after arriving at Santander. The selection for the evening meal was limited and the breakfast was basic but adequate.

The staff at this hotel can't do enough for you. I am now stayed at this hotel twice and enjoyed the experience on both occasions. Its proximity to the port of Santander is of particular importance to me. My ferry from Portsmouth arrives late enough in the day that I would not want to drive on any great distance and this hotel is ideally situated.

A lovely building, tastefully restored and modernised, a real discovery! So handy for Santander ferry port, yet quiet, very affordable and comfortable. We had a lovely modern room overlooking the palace grounds, with excellent facilities. Sadly it was Chefs night off, so we had to eat locally - not bad but in a very sad area! Breakfast at the hotel was first class on the terrace! All the staff were very friendly and also very much dog-lovers! Value for money is superb - I highly recommend this
