  The staff were lovely; very helpful despite our almost complete lack of Spanish. If a waiter didn't understand our request they would find somebody who spoke a little English. The hotel appears to be new and is spotless. The rooms are large and air-conditioned. The food in the cafeteria was very good and inexpensive.   The Palacio de Mengibar is an excellent hotel, with great facilities (especially the spa) and wonderful food. It was a bit quiet when we were there but it had only been open 3 months. - The town did not have much to offer but the hotel was extremely good,the service, the palace was lovely and the food was also very good.
