  We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. Metro stations next to the hotel & easy access to th - We spent one night at this hotel. Great location - close to the A-bomb dome and Peace Park, Hiroshima Castle and shops. Staff were so friendly and efficient. I asked for a room high up with a view of the castle (and got it). Corner room with 270 degree views. It was magic and the room was spacious compared to anything else we had stayed at in Japan. We didn't eat at the hotel - but found places close by for dinner and breakfast.

  Location-next door to Hiroshima station (Shinkansen side). Take the North exit and you'll see the hotel. Very convenient for train. Also easy for getting around Hiroshima by electric tram, but you need to walk to the south exit. Hotel-new, tasteful decor, especially the lobby. Staff-very polite, very attentive, very professional. I had the king size room and the room and the bed are the same size as the ones in Sh - Everything was great .. The beds perfect .. So soft and wonderful to sleep on. All hotels should get beds like these !!! I didn't eat breakfast but I looked ok. Ask at reception about a discount for breakfast our daughter got y400 off through them. The location is under 5 mins from Hiroshima station (out the back, not the tram side). You can't hear a thing .. Oh our daughter was in the room opposite and she heard one train about 7am.   The room was great! I stayed in a twin bed room and it was spacious, with a beautiful and classy design. The beds were very confortable, the amenites were good and they had free wifi in the room, which is great! Even their toilet was the most high-tech I have seen in a hotel in Japan. Granvia really looks like a 5 star hotel and the price were great! The best deal I made - Got off the Shinkansen, walked out the doors of the station and I was there. Excellent. Staff was helpful in giving directions to tourist sites and provided maps as well. Checked out early in the morning and the hotel stored our luggage until we came back from touring at 3 pm. Then it was quick and easy to walk for a minute and be back in the station, waiting for our next train. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  The Grand Prince Hiroshima is definitely a mixed bag. The rooms offer breathtaking views, the onsen is very chilled out and nice, and there's a ferry directly to Miyajima (one of the very best days we spent in Japan was on that lovely island).   Bed was really comfortable, much softer than the normal hard beds that seem to be common in Japan. Their map of what was around locally was excellent, as it pinpointed a coin laundry, which we desperately needed at that stage in our trip. Breakfast provided a good selection of foods, although it might have been nice if they had offered a type of bread other than - Excellent staff .. 4 star service. To get a quiet room ask for or book a single room on the 19th floor. Our daughters room was at the back of the hotel, soft comfortable bed and no noise. There is a coin laundry about a 10 min walk, staff can give you the location on the map. Bathroom is compact but not too small. Adequate breakfast Buffett, ask for a discount voucher when you checkin we got y500 off. Free Internet via lan cable in the rooms, free wifi in the lobby.
