This hotel totally deserves its 4 stars and is run very professionally in a relaxed and personal way. The food is a highlight. The service in all the bars and restaurants (there are 3) is exceptional and the friendly staff were happy to make excellent recommendations on wine and food choices. We booked this hotel after reading about it in a food and travel magazine of 2010. It lived up to the expectation even though the chef had changed. The new chef produced one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Fantastic! . With superbly matched wines. Will become a new destination hotel on our drive to Italy.

The food was very good particularly the extensive buffet which supplemented the menu and enabled us to be as health-conscious or indulgent as we wished!
